A Seat that says Moo!

Jason and I have had many discussions on Mabelle's carseat, and this week decided that we would get her a new one. So I went down to my friend's store and had her give me the lowdown on the best carseats. She did, and I came home excited to tell Jason about the 2 carseats I had it narrowed down to (which are ranked #1 and #2 in terms of safety...this company holds 4 out of the 5 top spots). So I told him all the great features and differences between the 2 seats...he replied with "I thought you were gonna get it today? Just get whatever you like." So I went back today and purchased the Britax Marathon in the cow-mooflauge fabric. I love it, Mabelle loves it...what else matters? Except that she is now forward-facing, which will be better when we travel in terms on convenience, but still scares the heck out of me in terms of safety. But she loves it...her first words when she got strapped in her new seat...

A Party..yup, more dancing!

We went to a wedding reception this past Saturday, and had a good time, but I think Mabs had the BEST time!! I swear she is a dancing queen. Every time the band would tune up, she would beg to "go dance".

"It's a man singing"...she couldn't believe it was a live band. She's stomping her feet to the music. She then couldn't believe the "biiiig guitar". She's soo silly!

And then...the booty shaking began. If you've seen her shake her booty before, you know this stance very well. If not...Mabelle shakes her booty by spreading her legs far apart, then rocking side to side (makes me think of Elvis..LOL).

Well, Mabelle hit 23 months yesterday :( I can't believe she'll be 2 in a month! She's so darn smart...she has so many of her books memorized and will read them to you now. And when we were out and about, I had to convince this lady she was turning 2 not 3!! She didn't believe me at all, because of her vocab and her conversation skills. LOL!

Potty training is going really well...so well, it's scary! She's not telling me when she has to go, and the pooping on the potty is only happening if i catch her starting to go...but we've only had still 4 accidents in almost 8 days!!!!!!!! Diapers at night and during naptimes, which she is NOT happy about.

17 Weeks...

(Excuse the "wonk" eye!!)

We've hit 17 weeks with little Peanut. And all is going well...except for the HUGE belly, I've not noticed any major changes. Some pains here and there..but nothing that has slowed me down yet. Not that I could if I wanted...Mabelle is a wild child some days! At our appointment this week, heartbeat was great...and I had only gained ONE POUND!!!!!! That's compared with a whopping 2lb gain at the same time with Mabs...hahahahaha!

SIDENOTE...Potty training update....6 days with only 4 accidents!!!!! And those were 2 poop (she WON'T poop on the potty...who would, she's been able to poop anywhere she's wanted until now..standing on her head, watching tv, hiding behind the blinds, or just leaning anywhere....the potty seems boring compared to that!), and then 2 tinkles within 10 minutes of each other...which I think, she was trying to poop, and accidentally tinkled. But really so far so good!!

Big Girl Panties...

We bought some girly elmo panties last week, not expecting to use them in the near future. But Sunday night after our "walk" (it's really playtime with Olivia, Race, Angela, & Jerry), she was soaked from their sprinklers, so I put some panties on her to get us til bathtime, 20 minutes away. That's all it took...Monday she woke up talking about her "big girl panties"...so I put them on her...ALL DAY! She tinkled in the potty 15 times, and only had one poop accident!! I knew the poop would happen...not that big of a deal. But we went potty every 30 minutes, and she didn't have one tinkle accident...is this a fluke?? Not sure, stay tuned, I'm sure we'll have to wear the "big girl panties" today too.

Mabelle's best friend, Charlee, had her birthday party last Sunday...and Mabelle had a blast. It was a "Fun in the Sun"/Luau theme, so I had Mabs dress for the theme (we were the only ones, besides Charlee). Enjoy the pics...

15 weeks Preggers...

Here it is the 15 week pic and comprison. I'm still bigger than last time...and way cuter!! HAHAHAHA! I think I might've felt first movement last week...small little flutter, but I was laying really still and completely flat on the couch. I felt Mabelle move at 18 weeks...hmmmm. Not sure though...maybe. Jason is swearing it's gas...what a nice husband :)
