Christmas in Vegas

I did this in a slideshow...watched it and realized it was hard to enjoy and read everything, soooo I uploaded all the images (again), and did double the work to make sure we could share all our wonderful pics with you! Yes....yes...you're welcome...hahahahaha! Ok..so here goes!

We had a wonderful Christmas!! Jason's parents and little sis made the trek to Vegas to enjoy the holiday with us. They came in on Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve, and left early Saturday morning. We had a blast, and really enjoyed Cash's first Christmas!! We wish all of our family could've shared the holiday with us...missed you all!

Our gifts, there are a ton behind the couch as well...whoa...gifts!
Mabelle's loot from Santa!
Cash's loot, plus 2 more toys that Santa allllmost forgot!
Snickers for breakfast...yum!

Candy...Cash sucked on this candy cane for almost an hour before we all realized it had this tiny little hole in the bottom that he was getting flavor out of. Sneaky little guy!
And the opening begins..

More opening...she had a TON of gifts! And really loved every single one!
When she opened the dress-up chest from Grandma Alma, she immediately disrobed and put on the white princess dress (and wore it most of the day).

Piano and Wall-e...

Matching Jordans for my boys :)
Mabelle's gift she picked out for Cash, and wrote their initials on the tag. She helped wrap EVERY single gift (except her own)!

Showing her muscles...
Papa getting attacked!

Opening Sissy, Uncle Chris, Izzie-bell & Nic's presents...
Still opening...

"Whoa, mom, that's alot of books!!"

Finger painting...thanks Weezer & Uncle Dave!

Pre-Christmas Packages...YAY GIFTS!

Two packages arrived a few days before Christmas and we had permission to open them...here's the aftermath ;)

Cash opening his bulldozer blocks...thanks Rylee!!

Mabelle opening her Hulk Operation game, you can't see her face, but she LOVES the hulk and was SUPER excited about her new game....thanks Rylee, it was perfect!

Nana, Grandad, Uncle Bubba & Aunt Anji's package arrives...thank you! The kids loved it all!
"I love my barbie...can i get in the car with her?"
She thought this was "so cool"...she could see Dora, animals...everything!

His own figurines...he chews on Mabelle's all the time!
Opening gifts!
Eating the paper :)

"SSSSHHHHHHHHHH, can you hear Cinderella??" A Cinderella music box, oh, she thinks that's awesome!
Look at the excitement on Cash's face!

Some cute ones before Christmas :)

My two walking babies...I did NOT coordinate the white tees and jeans, but how sweet did that end up?!? Cash is now walking probably 90% of the time, he has exploded the past few days!

My beautiful blondie.
"I'm the statue of liberty, Mom!"

He loooves that magic wand, a boy and his wand...

Can you see in the crack of the door? He has started terrorizing his sister...especially while she's on the potty. He laughs hysterically, sometimes she laughs...most of the time she screams.

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town!!

Mabelle's first recital...success! Here's the short lowdown...I dropped her off at 10am (yes, I left her with strangers for 5 hrs), Cash and I went to the van to hang out for 5 hrs (HAHAHAHA...funny but very true), recital started at 3ish, she went on stage & danced, and at 430pm we got to pick her up! Here's that story in pictures :)

Getting her mandatory pink blush and red lipstick.
"I'm so excited for my blush and lipstick, Mama!! What's blush?"

Blushed and beautiful.

My painted baby! And Cash supervising.

"Am I pretty, Daddy?"

Our little dancer.

Wanted her pic by the Christmas tree with her hair in her face "like Taylor Swift".

The next round of pics are courtesy of the volunteer mom who stayed with our kids from 10am-3pm while they rehearsed and hung out awaiting the recital. Other non-volunteer parents were not allowed in at all.

Mabelle patiently waiting to rehearse.

Group pics...of course, Mabelle's xl hat is off and its the back of her head we're seeing.
Looking sooo tired, it was a long day with no nap.Practicing their bows with their teacher, Miss Amanda (Mabs is on the far right end, bows are her thing).
Another group pic with Mabelle turned around.
Class picture, and Mabelle is not ready for her close-up!
Yup...proof....5 hours in the parking lot in the v-ride!! Cash was quite the trooper, he had a blast. The only other anal mom who stayed at the library theater (it was ok to go in the library, but not the theater) hung out with me in the van for about an hour (after she and her baby were harassed in the library). It was a not-so-great neighborhood (I counted 11 homeless waiting to get in the library before it opened), the other mom had friends who lived around there and I totally trusted her opinion on not leaving our kids there. Anyways, not so bad...and me & Jason felt better with me being 2mnts away.
And the recital starts!
She came out, and was doing her dance PERFECT.....backwards!! HAHAHA! The audience loved it, and she was fine. Until a teacher came out, put her hat back on and turned her around...
Then she just watched her class do the dance, and sang "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" loudly...she loves to sing :)
I think the other girls throw her off, and she gets distracted watching them, she performed backwards at her dance studio too.
It was a big day for her, and I'm so proud that she never had a meltdown, wasn't naughty when she was alone, and that she got on stage and had fun!! Having fun is what it's all about :)
AND, I'm hoping to get a video of the performance to upload...stay tuned!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow...

Continuation of the snow...at the airport they said it was about 3-4 inches recorded (the most since 1979). Further south, 8 inches...I'm pretty sure we got about 5 inches in our neighborhood! It was soooo nice, we were missing the winter weather, especially the snow. So this desert snow storm was wonderful! Mabelle was in hog heaven, and so was her Daddy! Las Vegas has NO snow removal system whatsoever, so it's a good thing that it was sunny today and melted everything. It definitely gave us our fix :) ...until we head up Mt. Charleston for some sledding!

Getting ready to head out...
All she wanted to do was make snow angels, and she did!

More snow angels in our friends backyard!
Brrr....he doesn't have a winter jacket, we might have to get one..maybe...
Making a snowball.

Jason making a snowman with James and Mabelle. It was a teeny tiny snowman.
That's the snowmans head.
Little crack.
Our house looked so beautiful in the snow, you can't really see our holiday lights, but believe me, it was gorgeous.
