My Little Giggling Helper

So in my efforts to distract from Cash's sleepiness...Mabelle and I decided he needed a sippy of water. He did so well laying down, but was dripping all over himself. So Mabs thought he needed to sit up and let her help. It turned into giggles from everyone, because he would dive after it and fall on his tummy (not seen in the video)..but inspired the giggles, which were nonstop between the both of them. Enjoy the love & giggles.

HAPPY 5 MONTHS, CASH!

Oh my, where did 5 months go? How is our little man getting so big so fast? Tear, tear...sniffle...snort. Cash is 5 months today and is jabbering, rolling, scooting/crawling (proof below), and eating like a champ (btw...we had major throw up last night...he is doing fine, doc said he might've overindulged on his food--Cash? nuh-uh--we think he might've gotten the virus Jason just had, and Mabs & I had 2 weeks ago). He had a doc appt today (and I looooove this doc...he even gives out his cell phone number for emergencies--which I promptly used during the throw-up episode last night), and Cash looks fabulous-o. He is 17lbs, and 25.75inches long.

Just a sweet moment between our babies.
Such a ham (I have NO idea who he gets that from...none).
Notice his position above on the blanket..that's where he started, then did his face-scoot (shown here)...
And is now on the edge of the blanket...
Another face-scoot, with his legs tucked & pushing...butt high in the air...
And a small pivot, and he's off the blanket.
Once he gets a little faster, there will be a video. Right now, he rests during his face-scoots...he's in no hurry to get where he's going.

She's a Ballerina!!! (finally)

We started ballet/tap class today (supposed to start last week, but "someone" wrote down the wrong time, so we missed the class...anyhoo). It was a big girl class, where she goes in by herself and parents watch from a big window (you can see me in the mirror...hahahaha). She did great the first 15mnts, then cried off and on the last 15mnts for me. But it was new kids and a new teacher, so all in all she did great! She said she liked it and is excited to go back, so we'll see next week.

"Cheese, mama, I'm a ballerina"
I think Ms. Eva is doing a plee-a, but Mabs looks as confused as i do...hahahaha!
They were doing the Macarena dance...why? Who knows, but it was cute!

Cash alone? Mabs must be sleeping.

Our little man...who is rolling and scooting so much more now. It's getting scary that he's allllllmost mobile. We also think he is starting to cut teeth, fun times.

Grrr....poor duck.
How cute is he...
First sippy...didn't spill a drop of water.
My crazy sleeper...this is how he's rolled off the couch...THREE times now. Good thing Daisy broke his fall 2 of those times.

Just Mabelle

Some of our fun the past week...

Blowing (& catching) bubbles.

Bubbles stuck in her hair.

On the merry-go-round...she loooves this. Always asks "can we go shopping at the outlet mall, so I can ride on the carousel?"

Just loved her sweet hair in this pic.
Looking at the fish at Ceasars.

Mama & Mabs.

Pretty as a Princess

I knew it would happen, since my friends 2 year old does it to her baby brother (poor Christian ;) but it was still HILARIOUS when Mabelle figured out that she could dress little Cash up as a princess. Not sure how funny Cash will think it is, when he's old enough to care!

The Kids are Playing...

Whoa, its crazy to say that! But here they are, playing and being silly together. Mabelle was singing and wallering for Cash, and he was laughing so hard at her and looking at her in complete awe. It was too sweet.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

How sweet is Jason with his babies...he's the very best. Happy Father's Day, hon!

And then there was...

SWEET POTATOES!
Cereal....CHECK
Peas....CHECK
Green Beans....CHECK
Apple Juice in his cereal....CHECK
Carrots....CHECK
And now sweet potatoes. He isn't loooving any of it, but he sure does eat it all. He'll make a face when he starts the food, and then gobbles it ALL up. He eats a jar of food, and then cereal for his dinner. It's the equivalent of 2.5 jars of food. Can we say...chunky?? HAHAHA!

Dog Drama

Our poor Sunny had a hematoma in her ear (a pocket that fills up with blood), and had to have emergency surgery to drain it. Thank goodness we opted for the surgery, she had the beginnings of infection in it too! She's doing better, drugged BIG time, and is happy we love her enough to foot the 1k bill for it...yup, 1k....
BEFORE:
The ear sticking up (which is not normal) is the one with the hematoma, its swollen...supposed to only be a flat, paper-thin ear.
AFTER:
Cone and radiology film stitched to her ear (for it to heal correctly)...and of course, doped up eyes. Poor puppy!

This & that.

So its been HOT lately, and we've spent alot of time indoors. Mabelle had a tummy bug on last Thursday, which included throwing up 6x in less than 3hrs...poor baby! Jason was at work, while we mustered thru the sickness...she bounced back the next day like nothing was ever wrong! And after lots of Oust & hand sanitizer we are all free & clear of the virus..woohoo! But here's some proof of us having fun :)

Mabelle in her new fav hat...she'll yank it off and saw "YO HAAAW", and then laugh and say "YEEEE HAW!" Goofball.
Her new skirt tutu & tap shoes for her "Ballerina Class" she starts this week.
"A Barbie Mariposa Princess Barbie dress!!!" That's what she calls this dress that Nana had to buy for her.
Our budding artist...its faces, with arms :)
Trying to get Chunky to sit up on his own.
Playing with his Whoozit toy.
Sucking his fingers..so cute!
Laughing.
More laughing!! (Excuse the junk in her teeth--grrroooosss-she just ate lunch)

Playdate with the Ducks...they loved us!

Me, the kids, Pat & James went to another park (there's a BAZILLION around here), and had a picnic and fed the ducks (and crazy pigeons--I think they were crazy pigeons). The kids...LOVED IT; the ducks...LOVED IT; the crazy pigeons...LOVED IT the most!! Here's the pics, there were so many cute ones, I tried to include quite a bit.

The kids running (holding hands...sooo sweet), to go feed the ducks.
Cash, happy in his new onesie (thanks Heather....HAHAHA) on the princess picnic blanket.
Patiently waiting for the ducks to notice them.
Watching them swim over.
Both leaning over to see all of the crazy, hungry ducks.
Just a few.
Trying very hard to see all of them eating the bread she was throwing.

Doing it all by herself.
James getting a better look.
There are those crazy pigeons...they were getting sooo close. I had to bean them with the bread to get them to back up. Thought I was gonna have to wrestle them, while holding Cash.
Picnic time...cantelope. The only thing she ate that I brought..Pat & James food was much better. Hahaha!
Using a juice box holder to hold her cereal bar..watching James collect pine cones.
