Orchard in Vegas

We heard about this orchard in Vegas, waaaay north, and thought we'd give it a try. So we set off this morning to check it out (complete with Mabs 'treehugger' tee and her apple clippie--she was super excited to pick apples). It was really far north, about a 35-45 mnt drive (doesn't seem that long at all thru the city), but once we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised at how 'normal' it was. It was an orchard in the desert! They had apples, zucchini, pumpkins, and other veggies we didn't see. Annnnd super yummy apple cider! It was 75, sunny and super windy, but well worth the dust and drive! $2 for adults, our kids were free...and then for 10 apples, a pumpkin, gallon of cider, and a pint of cider...$7 and change! Soooo going back!!

Mabelle's very first apple!
Her second apple, with her bag on her shoulder.
Still working on that second apple...Daddy's trying to let her do it by herself.
Two more apples from my apple-picking diva.
"Look, MOM...TWO!"
That's a huge zucchini.
The pumpkin patch...sad, but its something.
Finding her pumpkin...none were perfect, because they were "dirty, Mom".
Refusing to look at me..
Cash checking out the pumpkins...really me just setting him in the dirt for a quick photo op!
