Journal Entry...Roadtrip Day 6, March 25
We left Texas for Missouri on Wednesday and my poor Mabs started complaining of her butt hurting immediately. But not before we were pulled over for going 74 in a 70...30mnts from my mom's house! The sheriff deputy was super nice (even asked for Jason's business card!! LOL), and only gave us a warning after he realized we were NOT crazy tattooed criminals (hard to tell sometimes :)). But he did say in Texas, a ticket for 1 mph over is the same as 10 mph over...I guess the limit means limit. Warning for all you Texans. We also heard our very first...'are we there yet??' Mabelle was not ready to be in the car again. And she didn't shed a tear when we told Nana goodbye, but got very upset when we called during the car ride. She calmed down when we explained to her all the next stops we had on our roadtrip. Leaving is so hard. So just a few pics of our drive from TX to MO...

Roadtrip: Texas Visit!
Our first stop on our mondo roadtrip was Plano, Texas. We hadn't got to visit with that side of my family in almost a year (far too long!). We had a great time with Nana, Bubba, Aunt Anji, and visiting GrandDad!! The kids were in hog heaven...Mabelle and Nana had an extra special bond over makeup and hair, too cute! We took a ton of pics, here's just a few ;)

Journal Entry...Roadtrip Day 2, March 21
March 21, Saturday....Day 2 of the Great Tritten Roadtrip got off to a great start, we woke up and took our time getting around. Took so much time, we even missed the FREE hotel breakfast (boo, I love breakfast). We were on the road for Plano by 10am. Nothing much to report from this last leg of the travel to Nana's, but Texas is alot prettier than New Mexico ;)
Waiting, while Mabelle and Dad load up the van.

Journal Entry...Roadtrip Day 1, March 20
March 20, Friday....Day 1 of the Great Tritten Roadtrip started off great! We realized that Hoover Dam is about 30mnts from our house, and will be returning there to tour the dam. It was waaaaaaaaaay cooler than I had ever thought, and way different than we'd seen in Vegas Vacation (lol). We hit Arizona and thought it was awesome to drive thru, we were wishing we had the time to stop at all the interesting places we saw like the best preserved meteorite site in the world, a dinosaur park (which I REALLY think is the dinosaur park from Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure), a petrified forest, and just some really cool scenic spots. We even hit elevation about 7800feet! Then came New Mexico...which was NOT cool...it was boring and ugly...sorry, it's the truth.
Cash was so upset about NM, that he threw up! It was after 9hrs in the car, and after we read some books...only happened once, but was so upsetting/disgusting (had to take the carseat apart at Nana's for a deep cleaning). By 11 hours into the trip, 2 hours to go...it was 8pm west coast time, we'd been on the road since 7am, Cash was exhausted (and still smelling of goldfish/apple juice vomit) and Mabs butt hurt. She told me no less than 237 times. We FINALLY get to our hotel in Amarillo, TX (and come to find out, we missed the Cadillac Graveyard because of our late night arrival) at 1030pm...kids play, bathe and get ready for bed. We finally lay down for sleep around midnight, and Jason tells Mabelle "this is just like a sleepover", since he and she were sharing a bed, while me and Cash had our own. After that comment, it REALLY felt like a sleepover. I had the giggler (who humped everytime he chuckled), and Jason had the nonstop talker/wallerer. It was well after 1230 before any of us fell asleep

From atop the dam, they're building an awesome suspension bridge to bypass the slow but very cool winding dam roads.
Yay Leapster...occupied her for quite awhile!
Asleep with her blankie, barbie, belle and piggy...the only nap on our 13hour day one of driving.

Are we in Oregon?? Those trees and snow...nope, northern Arizona!
His FIRST juice box...you can tell by his face how he REALLY feels about it.
Yum.

On the go with the phone...
Here's some pics from Mama's phone...cause sometimes a phone is all that's around. And they're still doing cute things when the camera is not stuck to my face!
Awesome pic of my boy wearing his sis's sunglasses :)

Is that Daisy?!?!
Our babies loved, loved, loved Sunny and we have a gazillion pics to prove that. A few days ago, I turned around and witnessed a lovefest going on with Daisy (the sweetest grumpy bully you'll ever know). The lovefest went on for about 5 minutes!! That's a record with Miss Daisy.
The lovefest begins...Daisy's not thrilled, but she didn't move (like she normally does).
Morning, babies!
Cash is so funny!
Cash is so darn funny...he doesn't talk much but he's a ball of fun/cute/silly. Here's a few pics you can see his personality in...
LOVING his zebra christmas gift from mimi & papa (we just put it together...slowly introducing his bazillion toys he got).

A Comedian in the Family...
Mabelle and I were playing inside yesterday, while the dogs were outside. And our dogs are spoiled rotten, can't stand to be outside because there's nothing soft to lay on...always want to be inside, even during the nicest of weather. Well Daisy was bark/whining and Ruby was trying to dig a hole thru the glass door, they were driving me insane! So Mabelle and I went to the door to let them in, and I said "Ughhhh, Mabelle, the dogs are driving me BANANAS!!"...and she replied (without hesitation), "Mom, the dogs are driving me ORANGES!" I couldn't stop laughing...it was hilarious.
EDITED TO ADD...forgot to mention, she continued the comedic act last night, telling Daddy and Papa that the dogs were driving her grapes, then berries! LOL! At least she's keeping it in the fruits, so funny...

A little of our day today :)
A day in our life...
Cash brushing her hair...she FREAKS out if we try to brush her hair, but lets him brush it no problem!
Even smiles at him!
He really is brushing her hair!
Mabelle loving her flower Daddy gave her.
Can you see how sweet Mabelle is looking at Cash? So funny!

And Daddy good-bye tickles and sugar!!
I'm too cool for you, Mom.
Cutie Patootie.
Waving good bye to Daddy...they BOTH follow him to the door every time he leaves! Even Ruby went this time.
And then she rushes to the front window to watch him drive away...and the crying ensues...
