More RSV...yessssssssssss!

So Cash is not really getting better, just staying the same. Same raspy cough, same phlegmy throat, same low grade temp, and my once bad sleeper is now AWFUL! The breathing treatments are with drugs that are stimulants, so the past few nights he's been restless, whimpering and crying til the wee early morning (last night we were up til 3am with him). But he's still a happy boy and the doc says it'll take some time, he thought he might get better within 2 days initially, but said some kids just need some time.

And if that's not enough...Mabelle was also up last night, with an eerily familiar cough. FUN! We quickly made an appt with our pediatrician this morning and got in first thing. Mabelle tested negative for RSV, and does not yet have full-on Croup....buuuuuuuuuuuuut our doc is 100% sure that she has all the beginning signs of RSV (which the main one, being a sibling with it at home). Now we have two kids on breathing treatments (it's all we do all day..lol), and are hoping that this means we are done with sickness for the year ;)

This was our weapons against the croup....all his medicine and the clorox & lysol that we THOUGHT were helping, but were told that disinfecting does NOT help. This virus is passed from child-to-child, no amount of disinfecting helps prevent. Niiiiiice.

And little Miss Mabelle now with her breathing treatments, which she does like a champ!! Let's hope we can nip hers in the bud before it gets as bad as Cash's.
