After showing Mabelle a few designs on the computer, she quickly made her mind up for BOTH pumpkins, little brothers (who don't talk alot) don't get an opinion...she had settled on Jack and Oogey Boogey from Nightmare before Christmas..I tried to reason with her that we needed to do a smiley face jack-0-lantern, and she adamently chanted...Jack and Oogey, Jack and Oogey, Jack and Oogey. Needless to say, that was a battle the 4 year old won ;)
Bought the patterns, while Jason and Mabelle got the pumpkins ready.

Showing me the goo on her hands. (and notice her large owie from falling on the concrete, it matched her birthmark perfectly)
Scraping it, working hard..you can tell by the tongue hanging out.
Jason and Mabelle cheesing...while Cash was screaming, seriously that is not a cheese, it is a shriek.
Pained face. He was super grumpy from no sleep last night...really, no sleep. He was put on the couch to enjoy Max&Ruby while we carved. (and how fitting is his shirt with Mabelle's selections!!)
You gotta get reeeeeeeeeeeeeal close to poke holes.
The results!! Oogey Boogey (the boogeyman) and Jack Skeleton! They turned out great, I carved Oogey and Jason carved Jack. Mabelle assisted on both!

CUTIES! Poor Cashy getting dismissed to Max & Ruby. I love the Mabelle just dives right into the pumpkins, disgusted and all!! Love the pumpkins:)
FUN! We did pumpkins last night and guess what... I did Jack Skellington too! I was inspired by Mabelle's love of him of course:~) I didn't use a pattern though, so he's not quite as perfect and looks a little more happy and not quite so scary, I'll have to post some pics so you can show Mabs. And I don't think I believe you, little Cashy sure looks like he's cheesing to me! LOL Can't wait for costume pictures tonight!
